Nimi – Makin’ Italy

Identity & Event

MAKIN’ ITALY nasce all’interno di NIMI – La Nuova Intelligenza del Made in Italy, progetto di ricerca e visione promosso da Accademia Italiana, come manifesto visivo e culturale per ripensare il significato contemporaneo del Made in Italy.

MAKIN’ ITALY was developed within NIMI – The New Intelligence of Made in Italy, a research and vision-driven project promoted by Accademia Italiana. It takes the form of a visual and cultural manifesto that rethinks the contemporary meaning of Made in Italy.

The project challenges the idea of Made as a static, celebratory label tied to the past, reframing it as Make: an active verb, open-ended and constantly evolving. Not a brand to be protected, but a process to be sustained. The graphic identity translates this shift into a modular and narrative visual system, bringing together craft, artificial intelligence and social intelligence—the three forces shaping good design today.

MAKIN’ ITALY was presented as an exhibition and talk during Pitti Uomo, as part of a broader path connecting education, design and culture. Rather than offering definitive answers, the project opens up questions, inviting designers, companies, schools and local contexts to take part in a shared, collective work.
